We live in unpredictable times. Since staying indoors and practicing social distancing are the best ways to fight the virus, people have no option but to stay at home. Which means schools and colleges have to conduct classes online. Almost all institutions have shifted their base to virtual platforms, with online classes emerging as an alternative. Dealing with this huge change will definitely take some getting used to for both students and teachers, with each having their own struggle to access and navigate through the online platforms. But being isolated at home doesn’t mean you are going to have a dull and boring class. Though schools are out, online classes are in! For this post, we bring you 8 instances when online classes turned out to be a lot more fun than expected.
1. This Student Who Did A Bit Of Self-Care Amidst His Online Class
this dude in my online class is literally doing a face mask WHILE the teacher is talking, and everyone can see him hahhah pic.twitter.com/PbMTfkF9Yq

With so much time to ourselves, people have a newfound love for self-care. When so many things are out of our control, taking care of our skin with sheet masks and homemade packs can feel like a blessing and this kid legit knows how important it is to take care of one’s skin.
2. This Teacher Who Read The Unfortunate Typo
I’M DEAD MY TEACHER ACCIDENTLY READ IT OUT LOUD 😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/OiHBjt4t0d

Aren’t all of us guilty of creating some unfortunate typos? But some spelling mistakes can be more embarrassing than others, especially when we send it to our dad, on family WhatsApp groups, or in this case, a classroom full of students. While the student will definitely learn to spell check before he hits send again, the poor teacher will have to bear the brunt of this unfortunate incident for quite some time.
3.The Professor Who Took His Zoom Meetings Up A Notch

Why have a boring background image when you can customize it to anything you want? This cool professor decided to take his classes to another level by using a Getty image as his background.
thinking about how tomorrow our teacher who couldn’t stop “gay batman” from autoplaying on youtube is going to teach an online class pic.twitter.com/W3JP0t4YCe

Though being tech-savvy may not be considered as an important skill in every teacher’s resume, it can get challenging when you have to teach online classes for an unforeseeable future. We’re sure this professor must’ve got the hang of it by now, and probably learned how to turn off the autoplay feature on YouTube. What do you think?
5. The Fun Teacher!
My professor learned a tik tok dance on Zoom 😭 pic.twitter.com/V8ENkL8lD9

If this video proves anything, it’s that Zoom classes can be a lot more fun than attending classes the old-school way. Not just for the students, but the teacher as well. We love this teacher’s enthusiasm to learn a few fun moves for a TikTok dance. Talk about being open to new experiences!
6. The Teacher Who Is A Genius
ONE OF MY PROFESSORS MADE HARRY STYLES HER BACKGROUND ON ZOOM THIS IS SENDING MEEEE pic.twitter.com/wui2MQrR2g

If you are a Directioner, then you would definitely dig the background image of this professor’s Zoom. If this teacher teaches us anything, it’s that age is just a number and you can be a fan of an all-boys pop band or fancy just one singer and be proud of it. We wish we could be just as young at heart as this professor.
7. The Teacher Who Knows To Make Sure That Her Students Show Up
my professor showed us her dog 😍 pic.twitter.com/yzG4mJb3BJ
— the invisible life of allie ✨ (@alliewithbooks) March 18, 2020
We are not sure if this teacher was trying to lure her students into showing up for her class or if she simply couldn’t resist showing off her adorable little fur baby. But either way, we can guarantee that her kids wouldn’t be bored when there is a very good boy to entertain them every now and then.
8. When The Zoom Session Turned Into Happy Hour
Almost my whole class is drinking beer or wine during this Zoom session. At our 5 minute break our professor said he was going to get a drink because he felt left out. This is 3L of Zoom School of Law.

Online classes can be tough and can easily turn into a snooze fest. And if beer is what keeps them going at 8:30 in the morning, then who are we to judge? PS: We do not advertise drinking beer during classes.
