1. Harry Potter
Harry Potter is the title character of the Harry Potter series. The entire series covers seven years of the orphan Harry Potter, who learns he is a wizard on his 11th birthday. Harry is the only child of James and Lily Potter, two of the most famous wizards of their time. They lost their lives trying to save their only child from the wrath of Voldemort.

2. Hermione Granger

3. Ron Weasley
Ron Weasley belongs to the Weasley family, a family of red-haired wizards. All the members of his family are wizards, including Ginny, Harry’s love interest. Ron is a funny and immature boy with a sardonic sense of humor, which always cheers up his friends. He is also brave and always sticks up for his friends, even in the face of danger. 6. Ginny Weasley
Ginny is the sister of Ron Weasley, the youngest of her siblings, and the first girl to be born in the Weasley family after several generations. 8. Minerva McGonagall
Minerva is a professor, the Head of the Gryffindor House, and the Deputy Headmistress of the Hogwarts School and Witchcraft and Wizardry. Her personality exudes magnanimity and sternness. She is respected by nearly everyone in Hogwarts. Despite her sternness, Professor Minerva exhibits a dry sense of humor that comes to surface during tough times. She is most of the time seen wearing a green robe in a tartan pattern and a pointed hat.
9. Severus Snape
Severus Snape is the Potions master, and later on, Headmaster of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He plays an important role in the Wizarding Wars against Lord Voldemort. He has a personality that exudes gravitas, control, and authority. Snape is also extremely spiteful to people he dislikes.

10. Sirius Black
Sirius Black, also known as Snuffles or Padfoot, is a pureblood wizard. He is a true-hearted and brave man but can turn vicious toward those he hates. He is the godfather of Harry Potter and was his father’s best friend. He always assists Harry whenever he needs help. He is a tall, well-built man with fair skin and long, lustrous black hair. He was once quite handsome but turned sickly due to depression and maltreatment.
11. Rubeus Hagrid
Hagrid is one of the most loved characters in the Harry Potter series. He is a half-giant-half-human wizard and a trained gamekeeper of Hogwarts. He possesses extreme physical strength and endurance. He is an eleven feet, six inches tall and is always shown wearing a large, moleskin overcoat with several pockets.
12. Albus Dumbledore
Albus Dumbledore is the Headmaster of Hogwarts. He is considered the most powerful wizard of his time, and is famous for defeating Gellert Grindelwald. He is the only wizard that Lord Voldemort fears.
Dumbledore is a wise and benevolent man, who gives off an aura of composure and serenity. He is tall and well-built with long silver hair and beard and half-moon framed glasses. He has a long and crooked nose, which looks like it has been broken twice.
13. Dobby
Dobby is a male house elf who previously served the Malfoy family and then, in the Hogwarts kitchen. He is a brave and loyal elf, who happily puts himself in dangerous situations if it is for the right thing. He is loyal to his friends and does everything to save them from danger. He stands at just three and a half feet tall, with tennis ball like eyes, and a pointed and pencil-like nose. He wears a mismatched jumper, shorts, and socks of different shades.
14. Hogwarts
The Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, also known as Hogwarts, is a fictional school teaching magic to students aged 11 to 18. The school is located in Scotland. It is considered the finest schools to learn witchcraft and wizardry. Children with magical abilities are enrolled by birth and are admitted at the age of eleven. 15. Hedwig
Hedwig is Harry Potter’s snowy white owl. She was a present given to him by Hagrid on his 11th birthday. She is one of the closest companions of Harry and continued to be the closest until her death in the Battle of the Seven Potters. They would occasionally fall out, but would make up soon after. She is extremely loyal to Harry and displays her love and affection by nipping him gently.
16. Sorting Hat
The Sorting Hat is a Hogwarts artifact that magically assigns the school Houses to each student. The four houses of the Hogwarts are – Slytherin, Ravenclaw, Gryffindor, and Hufflepuff.
The Sorting Hat is a battered, old and extremely patchy hat, which opens its mouth to sing and speak. It normally stays at the Headmaster’s office unless needed. The hat also urges the students to maintain a united front in the face of danger and adversity.
17. Golden Snitch
The Golden Snitch, also called Snitch, is the smallest ball used in Quidditch. The ball flies at a high speed, pausing and hovering in place. It is a golden-colored, walnut-sized sphere with silver wings. In the game, the Seeker has to catch the Snitch, which is worth 150 points. A game of Quidditch can end only when the Snitch has been caught.
18. Quidditch
Quidditch is the most popular game among witches and wizards. It is supposed to be equivalent to Muggle’s passion for football. The match is played between two teams, with the players riding flying broomsticks. The game ends when the Snitch is caught or when an agreement is reached between the captains of both the teams. 19. Voldemort
Voldemort is the main antagonist of the Harry Potter series. He is considered the most powerful Dark wizard of his time. 20. Fluffy
Fluffy is a large, vicious dog belonging to Hagrid. He guards the trapdoor to the chamber where the Philosopher’s Stone is hidden in the first book. He is based on Cerberus, the three-headed dog in the Greek Mythology that guards the gate to the underworld. The only possible way to get past Fluffy is by playing music, which is his greatest weakness.
