A knock-knock joke is a simple “call and response” activity involving two people. It is an interactive activity with lots of puns. The jokes not only create laughter and giggles, but they make you think.

Punster: Knock, knock!
Recipient: Who’s there?
Punster: One or two-word (variable) response, which sometimes can be a name
Recipient: Repetition of the reply followed by the word ‘who’.
Punster: The punch line, which involves misuse of the word for ‘pun’.

You can also buy a knock knock joke book for more ideas. Once your child gets a hang of these jokes, you can encourage them to come up with their own jokes.

Even his sister is getting into the fun of it and already knows how to say, ‘knock! knock’ and ‘who’s there?!’ I don’t know why kids think these knock knock jokes are hilarious. I swear most of these jokes are not funny so just to make it easier for us (older people..LOL!) to read these jokes, I turned it into a comic strip (i)”
