  • 18-inch wire wreath form.
  • Floral tape
  • Leaves
  • Glycerin
  • Clippers
  • Decorative ribbon.

How To:

  1. Coat the leaves with glycerin.
  1. Cut an 18-inch wire wreath. Wrap the wreath completely with the floral tape. It will upkeep the leaf bundles.
  1. Clip the stems from the leaves. Try to remove as much stem as possible.
  1. Arrange 5 to 10 leaves in a small bundle. Wrap the stems with floral tape. Make as much bundle as possible.
  1. Starting from the bottom of the wreath, place the bundles on the frame and secure it by wrapping with the floral tape. Ensure that the leaves overlap and lie in the same direction to give a lush look.
  1. Wrap the tape tightly so that the leaves don’t shift when you move the wreath. Continue placing the bundles until you cover the entire frame. Leave 1-inch space at the top of the wreath and tie a square knot with a ribbon.
  1. Now flip the wreath and repeat the same procedure. Or you can skip this method and keep the wreath facing the same direction all time long.

  • Acorn hat
  • Needle and thread

How To:

  1. Soak the acorn hat in warm, soapy water for an hour. Rinse them off and dry with a towel.
  1. Make an acorn template and cut out the fabric. Cut two pieces from each fabric.
  1. Flip the printed side out and sew the fabric together. Make sure you leave the top side open.
  1. Flip and stuff the acorns with fillings. Now sew the opening.

  • 1 dishtowel
  • 1 matching dishcloth
  • 11-inches long wood dowel
  • Beige felt
  • Raffia
  • Red and black permanent markers
  • Burlap or straw hat
  • Glue gun
  • Scissors

How To:

  1. Lay out the washcloth and place strands of raffia on one end.
  1. Place the wooden dowel over the raffia and roll the cloth, inclosing the dowel and raffia in the center.
  1. Tie a small piece of the raffia on both ends of the washcloth. Make sure it’s 1 ½ inches away from the edges.
  1. Cut a 7 ½-inch long and 2 ½-inch piece of felt. Clip the ends of the felt to give a jagged look.
  1. Fold it in half and make the scarecrow face 1 inch from the fold.
  1. Fold the dishtowel lengthwise. Now fold in the center and place the ‘head’ over the fold.
  1. Tie raffia under the face to form the head.
  1. Separate the two sections of towel from the waist. It will form the legs.

  • A mason jar
  • Artificial or real fall leaves
  • Hot glue
  • A small piece of sponge brush
  • Rubbing alcohol

How To:

  1. Clear the jar with rubbing alcohol. The leaves will not stick if the jar is dirty and oily.
  1. If you’re using fabric leaves, then dampen and iron it.
  1. Apply hot glue to the leaves and arrange in the inside of the jar. Place one leaf upon the other and so on. Make sure that you smooth the edges and press the leaves so that they stick well. You can use your finger or the sponge brush for arranging the leaves.

  • White glue

  1. Punch the papers with “Double arches”.
  1. Cut out the paper with the double arches punch and taper at the bottom. It will give an ice cream cone shape. Repeat the same method to get five feathers.
  1. Dab a small amount of glue on the punched feathers. Insert the feathers at the back of the pine cone. Give it a fan-like arrangement.
  1. To make the turkey’s beak, cut a triangle from the orange paper. Affix it to the front of the pine cone.

  1. Stick the cloves, leaves and star anise to a small pumpkin.
  1. Place a handful of colorful fall leaves in the container and top it with yellow and white mini pumpkin.

  • Printer paper
  • Scissors
  • Fringe scissors
  • Two small brown paper lunch bags
  • Popcorn
  • Hot-glue gun
  • Hot-glue sticks
  • Large brown paper shopping bag

How To:

  1. Cut a sheet of printer paper in half, lengthwise. Fold each half in half.
  1. Make small cuts using the fringe scissors on the folded edges to create the loops.

To Make The Drumsticks:

  1. Tell your kid put his fist in the corners of the paper bag. Now tell him to use the other hand to round the edges.
  1. Fill the brown bag 2/3rd way up with popcorn. Gather the opening and twist it tightly. Hot glue one side of the frill and wrap it around the drumstick. Do the same with the second drumstick.

  • Poly-fill
  • Green ribbon
  • Rubber band
  • Green rickrack

How To:

  1. Take the cloth bag and fill it with the poly-fill.
  1. Gather all the corners and pull everything to the top center.
  1. Wrap the fabric with rubber bands.
  1. Hot glue the ribbon around the pumpkin, connecting one end to the other.

How To:

  1. Take a small sized maple leaf, colored side down and start folding in the points.
  1. Take a large maple leaf and fold its center point.
  1. Now place the first rolled leaf in the center. Fold the side points of the second leaf and wrap it around.
  1. You can continue adding the leaves until you get an even size.
  1. When you’ve got your desired shape and size, wrap the leaf stems tightly with the florist tape. Trim the end. If you want a long stem, then attach the two to the flower.

  • White paper plate
  • Assorted paint colors
  • Cotton swabs
  • Scissors
  • Black, orange, light and dark brown and red paper.
  • Brown craft foam
  • Stapler
  • Glue stick

How To:

  1. Cut the white paper plate in half. Paint the plate grooves with assorted paint colors. Use a separate cotton swab for each color.
  1. Cut a 6-inch circle out of the brown paper and cut it into a half.
  1. Cut a 3-inch circle from the light brown paper for the head.
  1. Now cut out two black circles for the eyes and a small diamond from the orange paper. Fold the diamond in half.
  1. Now cut the 2-inch long comma shape from the red paper. It will be the wattle.
  1. Glue the dark brown semi-circle to the white paper plate, the light brown circle upon the dark brown paper.
  1. Now affix the eyes, beak and wattle on the turkey’s head.
  1. Cut 2 ½-inch wide and 11-inch long strips from the brown craft foam. Staple the ends of the foam together.
  1. Now stick the ‘turkey’ to the stapled seam. The hat is ready.

You Will Need:

  • A mason jar
  • Plastic fall leaves
  • A small tree branch
  • Glycerin
  • Water
  • A hot glue gun

How To:

  1. Trim to tree branch so that it fits in the jar.
  1. Use the hot glue to stick the brand to the center of the jar lid.
  1. Attach the small fall leaves to the tree.
  1. Mix glycerin with water and drop a few leave sin it. Now put the leaves with the attached tree in the jar. You can even glue the lid.

12. Pilgrim Hat:

You Will Need:

  • Masking tape
  • Black paint
  • Newspaper
  • Paintbrush
  • Hole punch
  • Black elastic cord
  • Gray, orange and yellow foam

How To:

  1. Fold the sheet of newspaper in half. Now fold the top two corners to make them meet at the center. Affix with masking paint.
  1. Now fold the bottom edge of newspaper to make twice it meet at the edge of the folded down corners.
  1. Flip and do the same with the opposite bottom corner.
  1. Fold the top point and tape.
  1. Paint the hat in black and leave it to dry.
  1. Now punch a hole at each end of the brim.
  1. Thread the 18-inch long elastic cord through the holes.
  1. Cut 11 inches long and 1 inches wide strip from the gray foam.
  1. Stick it on the hat, just above the brim. Trim off the excess.
  1. Cut out a 2 inch square from the yellow foam and stick in the center of the orange strip.
  1. Cut a 1 inch square from the orange foam and stick in the center of the orange piece. The hat is ready!

13. Pilgrim Bonnet:

You Will Need:

  • White craft foam
  • Scissors
  • Stapler
  • Hole punch
  • Grosgrain ribbon

How To:

  1. Cut the white foam 12 inches wide and 18 inches long.
  1. Now fold 2 inches from the long edge of the white foam. Staple it on each side.
  1. Make seven evenly spaced 4 1/2 inches cut on the unfolded edge. Tell the kids first to draw the lines and then cut.
  1. Punch a hole at the center, 1 inch from the edge.
  1. Thread a 24-inch long grosgrain ribbon through the holes. Start with the first flap and continue.
  1. Pull the ribbon from the sides to gather the folds to the center. Tie the ribbon to secure.
  1. Make a hole at the bottom of each side of the brim and thread an 18-inch piece of ribbon for the chin strap.

  • Felt
  • Suede or leather cord
  • Glue gun
  • Scissors

How To:

  1. Clip the leaves and trim off their stems with the scissors.
  1. Cut a 1-inch wide and 11-inch long strip of felt. Or let your kid measure the head to get the perfect length.
  1. Now begin with gluing the leaves to the fabric. Start from the middle and work until the edges.
  1. Try to layer different sizes and colors of the leaves until you have covered the felt.
  1. Cut 2, 8-inch piece of cord and affix to the other side of the felt.
  1. Cut two small piece of felt and stick it on the wire ends. It will secure them.

15. Thankful String:

  • Felt Needle
  • 30-inch hemp cord
  • two wooden beads
  • Colorful feathers felt balls
  • String

How To:

  1. Use the felt need to string the felt balls onto the hemp cord. Tie a knot at the end.
  1. Trim the ends of the feathers.
  1. Now string the two wooden beads onto each shaft.
  1. Now put a 6-inch piece of the braided cords against the feather shaft. Secure the shaft by wrapping with the hemp corn. Repeat the same with the remaining feathers.
  1. Have your kid write what he is thankful for on a piece of paper.
  1. Punch the holes and thread onto the cord.
