Aladdin And Princess Jasmine Story
Ever since Aladdin finds the magic lamp from the Cave of Wonders and the genie that lives inside it, he has experienced wish fulfillment. Both Aladdin and his mom have lots of money, a beautiful house to live in, the best of clothes and more food than they both could eat. As the days and years pass, Aladdin grows up to become a handsome young man who becomes the talk of the town. His mom now begins to look for a suitable boy for her son.
One day, as Aladdin leaves for the market, his eyes fall on the Sultan’s daughter Jasmine. She was sitting in her royal chair, waiting for the servants to carry her through the market. He could only see the princess for a few seconds, but he falls in love with her. He knew that he would marry only this girl. Aladdin went home and told his mother about it.
As soon as she heard about it, his mother says that she would ask the Sultan for his daughter’s hand in marriage. Aladdin’s mother was sure the Sultan would not be able to say no.
The mother carries a big basket full of the biggest diamonds the Sultan has ever seen, and he allows her inside the palace. But when she told him about the marriage plans, the Sultan said that Aladdin would first have to prove his fortune and his powers. Only then, he would allow the marriage to take place. The request was made by the Chamberlain and not by the Sultan.
‘If Aladdin wants to marry my daughter, he will have to follow a few rules. First, he will have to send me forty slaves tomorrow. Each slave should carry a box filled with precious stones. The slaves should also be escorted by forty Arab warriors.’
Aladdin’s mother went back home and was a little sad. She knew the genie could do anything, but he was not sure if this was something the genie could help. When she told Aladdin about it, he was not worried. He immediately rubbed the lamp and the genie appeared. The genie just clapped his hands and everything the Sultan ordered was right there. Next day, when the Sultan saw all this, he was very surprised. He had never thought that someone could have so much wealth.
Even as the Sultan was about to agree, the jealous Chamberlain interrupted. ‘Where will the princess stay after marriage?’ The Sultan thought about it, and turned to Aladdin. ‘Make sure you build a beautiful palace where my daughter can live with you after marriage. Only then will I agree to the wedding.’
beautiful palace for Aladdin out in the wilderness. At last, all of the Sultan’s requests were taken care of, and he agreed to marry Princess Jasmine to Aladdin. The wedding was celebrated in Arabian culture throughout the kingdom with lots of cheer. The Sultan was also very happy that he had found such a rich, handsome and powerful husband for his daughter.
Everyone was talking about the marriage for days after the event took place. There were stories, and rumors about Aladdin’s fortune and his good luck and news traveled out of the kingdom as well. One day, a strange man, dressed like a merchant, came to town and went to Aladdin’s palace. He waited for some time and then went beneath one of the palace windows.
Suddenly, he could see the princess standing in the window. ‘Old lamps for new ones’ he shouted out, loud enough for the princess to hear. The princess knew there was an old lamp in the house, but Aladdin had not told her that it was a magic lamp. She also knew nothing about the genie. As she heard about the lamp exchange offer, she thought she would give Aladdin a surprise. She quickly went and got the old lamp. She handed it over to the merchant and got a beautiful and new lamp in exchange. As soon as the merchant got the lamp, he rubbed it to make the genie appear. Once the genie came out, he ordered it to take away all of Aladdin’s treasures and possessions. He also orders the genie to take away Aladdin’s beautiful palace and the princess in an unknown place.
In the evening when Aladdin reaches his palace, he realizes there was no palace to be seen. He could not understand what happened. He went to the Sultan and informed him about what had happened. Even the Sultan was puzzled and could not find the reason as to how the palace and his daughter had magically disappeared.
It was then that Aladdin realized that whatever had happened was a result of some bad magic. There was only one person who would do something like this to Aladdin. He realized it was the magician, but now he did not have the lamp he could not summon the genie. Aladdin was desperate and began crying. But then he remembered that he also had a magic ring that the magician had given him earlier. He rubbed the ring, and the genie appeared.
‘Take me to my palace wherever the magician has hidden it and also where the magician has hidden my wife.’ In moments, Aladdin was inside his palace. He could see the princess and even the magician, and realized the princess was now a slave to the magician.
He quietly went near the princess and told her he was there. He gave her a magic powder and asked her to slip it in the magician’s tea. As the magician sipped the tea, he fell asleep. Aladdin started searching for the lamp but could not find it anywhere. At last he found it under the sleeping magician’s pillow. He grabbed it, rubbed it fast and the genie appeared.
‘Take the magician to a faraway land from where he can never come back, and take us back to our kingdom.’
Things were fine soon, and Aladdin told Princess Jasmine all about the magic lamp and the genie and the magician. The magician could never come back, and the two lived happily ever after.
