Origin, Meaning, And History Of Aeneas
Aeneas carries a deep meaning for boys. It is the Latin form of the Greek name Aineias, which consists of the Greek element aine, meaning ‘praise.’ This name is also known for its strong connection with Greek mythology. Interestingly, the name also finds a place in Roman mythology. Aeneas first appeared in the Homeric Hymn to Aphrodite, where she gives him his name from ainon, meaning ‘terrible.’ This is because he has caused her terrible grief for being a mortal. Later, however, there were several other interpretations of this name, including ‘the natural order,’ ‘in-dweller,’ ‘wily,’ and ‘pious.’
In Greek mythology, Aeneas is the name of the son of Anchises, a Trojan prince, and Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love. Aeneas was also the second cousin of King Priam’s children, Hector and Paris. He was a hero in the Trojan War too (1). However, he is considered to be a minor character in Greek mythology.
In Roman mythology, however, he is considered the son of the goddess Venus (the Roman equivalent of Aphrodite). He is one of the main characters in several stories. His story is covered extensively in Virgil’s Aeneid (2). He is shown as an ancestor of the founders of the Roman Empire, Remus and Romulus. Hence, Aeneas is considered to be the first true hero of Rome. The book also covers several aspects of Aeneas’s life, such as his birth, journey to Italy, role in the Trojan War, and adventures later. Interestingly, some historians find him comparable to the Norse god Víðarr of the Æsir.
Aeneas appears in the Bible too. It is the name of a character in the New Testament who lives in Lydda and is disabled. However, Saint Peter comes to him and tells him that Jesus Christ heals him. Immediately, the man is healed and is able to stand up. Another incidence of the name in Greek mythology is Aeneas Silvius, who is considered to be the son of Silvius, grandson of Ascanius, and great-grandson, grandson, or son of Aeneas. He is the third mythical king of Alba Longa and the founder of the Silvii house.
With such an extensive history and diverse origins, Aeneas is a name that holds much symbolic value. While it may not be commonly used as a first name in the 21st century, it holds much cultural importance to Greeks and Christians alike. This makes Aeneas an excellent choice for young boys.

Aeneas’s Zodiac Sign As Per Western Astrology
Western astrology includes the construction of a horoscope based on the person’s exact time of birth and location to understand the positions of the planet, stars, and zodiac signs at that time. However, in popular culture, it is often narrowed down to the sun sign, which depends on the person’s birth date. There are 12 zodiac signs, each having dominant traits, planetary rulers, elemental connection, and more.
Zodiac sign or Sun sign
The Earth’s orbit around the sun is divided into 12 zodiac signs covering 30-degree sectors. According to Western astrology, the zodiac or sun sign depends on the sun’s position in one of these sectors at the time of your birth. Starting from the sun’s position at the March equinox, the chart goes anti-clockwise from Aries, followed by Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces. These signs are ruled by planetary bodies - Mars, Venus, Mercury, Moon, Sun, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Furthermore, they are categorized into triplicities or elemental signs - fire, water, air, and earth - that govern their characteristics. Each of these zodiac signs features certain personality traits that may determine how a person presents themselves.
Why the date of birth matters
Each zodiac sign in Western astrology is linked to a specific range of dates in the year. Unlike Vedic astrology, where names can sometimes be used to infer astrological details, Western astrology relies entirely on the birth date.
