Dr. Danielle Johnson received her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. Having been board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, she has expertise in treating women’s mental health issues, with 15 years of experience.
Dr. Johnson is an assistant clinical professor in the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences and a board member of the International Society of Reproductive Psychiatry. Previously, she worked at the Lindner Center of HOPE in Mason and is an active member of the Ohio Psychiatric Physicians Association, serving as Chair of the Ethics Committee and a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
Dr. Johnson was selected as one of Cincinnati Magazine’s Top Doctors in 2019, 2020, and 2021. She was awarded the 2020 Excellence in Mental Healthcare Exemplary Psychiatrist Award by NAMI Southwest Ohio. She received the Outstanding Leadership and Service Award from the Cincinnati Section of the National Council of Negro Women, Inc. and was selected as one of the Influential Women of Greater Cincinnati by Venue Magazine.
In addition to co-authoring the book “The Chronicles of Women in White Coats,” Dr. Johnson has written articles for online blogs. She has been interviewed for local and national publications, including WebMD, Shape, The Atlantic, and Bustle.
