Dr. Rebbecca (Bec) Wilcox is an Australian veterinarian and academician working in clinical practice, animal welfare, journalism, and medical research. She is passionate about sharing fascinating facts and the latest research on the intriguing lives and science of animals, particularly those we share our lives with.
Dr. Bec is a regular guest on the radio and a columnist for Australian Dog Lovers’ Magazine, Australian Cat Lovers’ Magazine, and Pet Insurance Australia. Her academic and clinical research spans several areas, with a focus on the role of the microbiome in health, preventative medicine, developing new veterinary medicines, clinical trials that benefit animals and humans, and working to prevent antibiotic resistance. Dr. Bec advocates for animal charities that promote animal welfare for both domestic animals and wildlife.
